LUCIANO GASPARI
Born in Venice from a family of artists, Luciano Gaspari started his career as a painter in the 30s and he finished his art studies in Bologna, in 1937. Already in 1932, he won the prize for young painters of Biennale of Venice.

He joined the Spatialism art movement in 1951 and, between 1955 and 1968, he worked as art director for Salviati contributing creating a fundamental part of the company’s collection.
In 1959, he started a collaboration with Livio Seguso, one of the greatest glass masters at the time, and together they created glass artefacts of superb artistic quality and execution.

In 1960 Gaspari received the E.N.A.P.I. prize in occasion of the Triennale of Milan. Four years later, he partecipated at the Moma event about Industrial Drawing in New York. In 1991 and 1992 he drew glass works for Pino Signoretto. He died in Venice in 2007.
His works, as well as in private collections, are kept in Italian, European and American museums, such as the Modern Art Galleries of Venice and Rome, the Murano Glass Museum, the Guggenheim Museum of New York, the Royal Museum of Art and History of Liège and the Contemporary Art Museum of Tel-Aviv and Caifa.
