GIORGIO FERRO
Son of Galliano, Giorgio Ferro was born in Murano in 1931. He studied at the Carmini State Institute of Art in Venice.
From 1951 to 1955 he worked as designer at A.V.E.M. 's, glass factory founded by Antonio Ferro and sons, Galliano Ferro and Emilio Nason. Giorgio took the place of the previous designer Giulio Radi, deaad early.
In 1952 Ferro presented at Biennale of Venice the glass series "anse volanti", one of the masterpieces of A.V.E.M.
In 1955, he followed his father Galliano who opened his own glass factory. Giorgio became the director and, in 1972, the principal.
